Leadership Mission Texas turned leadership into action through hands-on service and volunteerism across Mission. Throughout 2025, participants supported 10+ community initiatives, including park cleanups, citywide beautification efforts, public events, cultural programming, and volunteer support for the inaugural Mission Mega Adoption Event, which resulted in 123 pet adoptions. Class-led legacy projects—such as the Class 41 Communication Board and Class 40 mural at the Mission Animal Shelter—left visible, lasting contributions that continue to serve the community.
Leadership Mission Texas expanded its impact beyond the local level by participating in Mission Day at the Texas Capitol during the 89th Texas Legislature. Class members joined Mayor Garza and Mission City Council in Austin to advocate for the city’s priorities and strengthen relationships with state leaders. This experience provided participants with firsthand insight into the legislative process while ensuring Mission’s voice was represented in conversations shaping the region’s future.
